Upper Fusine Lake lies in Italy close to the point where the borders of Slovenia, Austria and Italy meet so it was an easy jump over the border from Slovenia. We were able to take a hike around the lake and so enjoy the spectacular view of the mountains in the background. This lake, together with the Lower Fusine Lake, is fed by artesian springs in the adjacent Julian Alps. These incredible lakes reflect the surrounding mountains and evergreen trees in their clear waters creating spectacular vistas.
