Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Nymphaeaceae is a family of flowering plants. Members of this family are commonly called water lilies and live as rhizomatous aquatic herbs in temperate and tropical climates around the world. The family contains eight large-flowered genera with about 70 species. The genus Nymphaea contains about 35 species in the Northern Hemisphere. The genus Victoria contains two species of giant water lilies endemic to South America. Water lilies are rooted in soil in bodies of water, with leaves and flowers floating on the surface. The leaves are round, with a radial notch in Nymphaea and Nuphar, but fully circular in Victoria.
Water lilies are a well studied clade of plants because their large flowers with multiple unspecialized parts were initially considered to represent the floral pattern of the earliest flowering plants, and later genetic studies confirmed their evolutionary position as basal angiosperms. This Blue Water Lily, 72"X48," is my favorite of the 3 pictures I bought. It hangs at the head of my bed, 6" up; it's like the headboard, and it's very calming, and it seduces me to lie down and sleep. Such a beautiful picture. Also, the composition grabbed me and completed my decision process. Though when the package arrived in was severely damaged and looked like the bottom had fallen out and the protective cover on the picture was scratched, as if the picture had been slid across a concrete floor. Though, once hung and the protective cover removed, not a single scratch of any size or shape was on the picture itself. I was relived and very happy. Now that's a true protective cover.
